Running Accomplishments:

Just starting to run and not confident yet! The highlights of my running career include running 5 miles through the hills of west salem. ha. 

Short-Term Running Goals:

Excited to actually finish a race this year! First a 1/2 marathon then H2C!

CDA1/2 Marathon without dying.  

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep in shape, healthy.  Use running/excercise as a form of thearapy and way to clear my head.  It always puts me in a better mood no matter what! 

Personal:

Happily married with a doggie, Frank and a cat Phoebe.  Human children in the future, God willing!

So dumb. I thought I was going to be ambitious and run a good distance on my lunch break on my treadmill. Wrong.  Ran/walked 3 miles.  I am feeling depressed with myself. Whats wrong with me? Treadmill sucks, I will blame it. 

I WILL GET UP EARLY TOMORROW AND DO 7. PERIOD.

I feel like a cheat! These times are not accurate!  Something got screwed up on mile 7 and the distance kept going but the time stopped for about 1 minute or two.  So actual time and ap are not as good as this refelcts!  So, ap was maybe 9:30's??  Still I am satisfied with the 7 before work. HTC is 3 weeks away so for the next two weeks I need to do two-a-days at least once a week.  And then do an easy week the week before.

On a side note, we saw a dead cat up close and personal. So gross!  It's eyes were popping out and all bloody.  Sad. :-(

Now, just have to clean the house top to bottom tonight to get ready for the parentals.

Only walked... no running.  Went on a walk with my parents and scoped out some good blackberry picking. We went up the hill of eola and there were tons! So we went back to pick some after we canned pickles!  Then we made a delicious blackberry pie. What a good day. :)

Felt so good I decided to mow the lawn. :) Funny because when I got home from work I felt lethargic and tired. Didnt want to do anything but the run gave me some energy!

Very surprising AP, I thought it would be worse! I walked so much and felt terrible!   Lucky to get 8 miles I think.  It was so hot and windy.  Took frank for the 6 mile loop then dropped him off and picked up Cash for another 2.  Later had a WTPP! And enjoyed some cold brew in the kiddy pool. :-) AHHH Summer.. HTC is 2 short weeks away! Hopefully it cools down before then.

Ran a shorty tonight because I accidentally overslept this morning! I meant to set my alarm for the usual 5:45 but somehow I set it for 6:45 instead...oops!  Better luck tomorrow!  

OMG, HTC is getting too close for comfort! Wonder how I will fare?  My hamstring is hurting when I run, it needs to feel 100% ASAP.

Ran with Frankie before work. And my mom is the best!  She got me a good luck present for HTC!  It is the cutest leggings with a built in skirt from Lucy to run in. It is so cute! I cant wait to wear it, it's nice to get some support from family! (Nicole you're a GREAT encourager! :)))

Had a great run today, I thought it would be bad like last weeks long run but it turned out good. :-) (Thanks to Nicole I felt the need to go further than my 8 I had planned, thanks for pushing me!) Before I left I saw your killer 19!!!!

Then I cleanded the bbq from all the mice babies! YUCK! But, it's all good now. Accomplished so much already, I can be lazy the rest of the weekend..! Maybe. Made delish zucchini bread last night and husband helped me clean the whole house!! = Very happy wife.

Had a decent run today after work, kinda hot, kinda windy.  Frank was a peach though. :-) He is so well behaved running past other dogs these days thanks to the gentle leader!

Had a good run with Frank before work. Started running and was still a little dusky out and had the most beautiful view of the moon setting in the west, then had a great view of the sun rising in the East. Wanted a little better AP but oh well. Hamstrings feel tight! Ready for a two day break befor HTC.

Race: Hood to Coast Relay Race (197 Miles) 28:33:00, Place overall: 520, Place in age division: 390

Okay, this was the relay race of a lifetime.  It was truely an amazing experience to take part in.  Full of highs and lows!  We started from the top of Mt. Hood in Oregon and ran down to Seaside, Oregon in 28 hours and 33 minutes.  I was in van 1, luckily we were finished first! The low was when I ran at 2:30am with out sleeping yet and it was in the middle of no where and pitch black.  I was praying that God would keep me and everyone else safe!  I was inside terrified of a drunk driver or a driver not paying attention and hitting someone.  Needless to say I was so happy when this leg was done.  

First leg was on Friday at 2:32PM Ran around 7.40 miles to Sandy, Oregon. I was so nervous at the begining I couldnt get my hear to stop pounding until around mile 2. There were more uphills than I had anticipated from the map, but it was a great run. Beautiful weather!  Kind of scary having the semis pass by at high speeds though.

Second leg was early Saturday morning at 2:32, like I mentioned above, very scary! I kept turning left when volunteers told me to go right! Oops, no sleep makes me delirious! Luckily this was my shortest leg for the race, but it did have the most hills out of all my legs.

Slept in van for 2 whole hours after Nicole navigated our way to the next stop.  This was a difficult time, she was so tired, along with everyone else but got us to the right spot safely!

Third and final leg 11:40am- last leg for our van! I actually couldnt wait to run this leg.  I knew there was mostly downhill, there was more uphill than I had thought but still had lots of adrenaline to get me through.  I also had the most road kill on this leg than all the others, so that was fun.  Ran into Astoria, and had the encouragement from all the vans backed up in traffic for the second 1/2.
